1 SCOPE
This document specifies the electrical requirements and test methods for the electrical and electronic components with a nominal voltage of 48V DC in road vehicles.
This document is applicable to the electrical behaviors of the components with a supply voltage of 48V DC. For the energy storage systems, the electrochemical part is not tested while the management system is tested alone as an independent DUT.
This document includes the general requirements for 48V DC electrical systems, voltage ranges, and voltage transients and fluctuations, but excludes electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).

3 TERMS AND DEFINITIONS
For the purpose of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
