1 SCOPE
This document describes the calculation, measurement and evaluation methods of torsional vibration (hereinafter referred to as “torsional vibration”, unless otherwise specified) of the shaft system driven by the reciprocating internal combustion engine.
This document is applicable to the shaft system driven by the reciprocating internal combustion engine (hereinafter referred to as “engine”, unless otherwise specified) defined in GB/T 6072.1.

3 TERMS AND DEFINITIONS
For the purpose of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 6072.1 and GB/T 13436, as well as the following apply.
3.1 Crankshaft system
assembly of the crankshaft and all rotatable components on and connected to the crankshaft
3.2 Torsional vibration
oscillatory angular deformation (twist) of a rotating shaft system
