1 SCOPE

This document specifies the energy-saving effect evaluation method of the gear shift indicator for passenger cars.
This document is applicable to the Category M1 vehicles equipped with the gear shift indicator, of which the maximum design total mass doesn’t exceed 3,500 kg.
This document is applicable to the vehicles fueled with gasoline or diesel, but is not applicable to the hybrid electric vehicles.
