Certification Rules for Indirect Vision Device of Motor Vehicles

1. SCOPE OF APPLICATION
This Rules is applicable to the devices for indirect vision installed on the vehicles of Categories M, N and L, including automobile rear-view mirrors, motorcycle rear-view mirrors, and camera-monitor devices. The devices for indirect vision intended for other vehicles may use this document as a reference.
Considering the adjustment of application scope arising from the changes in such factors as laws & regulations, applicable product standards, technologies and industry policies, the announcements issued by the CQC shall prevail.
2. CERTIFICATION MODE
The certification mode for the devices for indirect vision of motor vehicles is: Type Test + Conformity of Production (CoP) Check + Post-Certification Supervision The certification includes the following basic steps:
a. Application for the certification
b. Type test
c. CoP check
d. Evaluation and approval of certification result
e. Post-certification supervision
As the production organization mode and product characteristics vary, differentiated CoP checks and post-certification supervisions may apply in specific implementation.
