1 SCOPE

This standard stipulates the stand test method of the automobile dry friction clutch assembly (including lid assembly and driven plate assembly, hereinafter referred to as “clutch”).
This standard applies to automobile dry friction clutches.

3 TERMS AND DEFINITIONS

For the purposes of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1 Clamp load characteristic
During the load and unload of the pressure plate, the curves reflecting the relation between the load F on the pressure plate and pressure plate displacement  is as Figure 1.
