Test Methods for Rubber O-Rings
1 SCOPE
This standard specifies the test methods for dimensional measurement, hardness, tensile property, hot-air accelerated aging, compression set at constant strain, corrosion test, liquid resistance, density, shrinkage rate, low temperature test, and compression stress relaxation, of solid vulcanized rubber O-rings.
This standard is applicable to solid vulcanized rubber O-rings (hereinafter referred to as “O-rings”).

3 REQUIREMENTS FOR TEST SPECIMENS AND TEST CONDITIONS
3.1 Requirements for Test Specimens
3.1.1 Test specimens shall be prepared as specified in GB/T 2941-2006.
3.1.2 The appearance quality of test specimens shall meet the requirements of GB/T 3452.2-2007, Class N.
3.1.3 The test specimens used for the testing of hardness, tensile property, hot-air accelerated aging, compression set at constant strain, corrosion test, liquid resistance, density, shrinkage rate, low temperature test, and compression stress relaxation are detailed in sub-clauses 5.1.2, 5.2.2, 5.3.2, 5.4.2, 5.5.2, 5.6.2, 5.7.2, 5.8.2, and 5.9.2 of this standard, and GB/T 13643-1992, 4.1.3.
